After I graduated from my secondary school, I was interested in chemistry and chemical engineering as well as environmental engineering. In the end I decided to study chemical engineering but studying in environmental sciences was always in my mind.

I graduated from my bachelor’s degree, and I did a master's degree in chemical engineering at Prague.

I always had a passion to study environmental sciences. I love nature and our planet, and I would like to protect our environment.

I managed to fulfil my goal to study in environmental sciences. I have started my master's degree in Environmental Geosciences. Apart from that, I also had the envy of having a campus life which I have never had in my long time of studies, so I made that dream come true as well.

Ambassador of the study program Environmental Engineering

Ever since I was a kid, my life goal has always been working with insects, especially butterflies. But seeing the current situation of the environment and how many different insect species are endangered led me to the Environmental Engineering degree, which has opened my mind to various aspects of the environment, such as water management and the importance of the soil. I hope this degree will allow me to focus on the nature conservation and fulfill my childhood dream in the future.

Choosing to study in a foreign country might sound challenging, but it is worth it, as it allows you to meet different cultures, make new friends, and open your mind to new experiences.

Julio Torres

Ambassador of the study program Environmental Modeling

During my bachelor's, I became very interested in the environment and the interaction of human beings with the surrounding ecosystem. Upon arousing this interest, I realized that mathematics is vital to understanding how this interaction occurs and the positive or negative effects these processes can have on daily life. In addition to my love of programming in different languages, I saw the Environmental Modeling master's program at the Faculty of Environmental Sciences as an excellent opportunity to learn about the behaviour of the environment and understand the phenomena that occur.

Studying at CZU has made me very comfortable, and I have really enjoyed its green areas, sports fields, and small farm. Being on campus is a great experience in itself. Apart from growing as a professional, I have also had the opportunity to strengthen ties with different people, locals, and nationalities worldwide; Prague has it all.

Ronak Rahmati

Ambassador of the study program Environmental Modelling

Data science is a powerful tool to help scientists understand the uncertainties in data, and determine interventions, strategies, and solutions that realize co-benefits for humankind and the environment. Studying Environmental Data Science at CZU allowed me to learn in practice all the new technologies that I would need for my future career. I am now pursuing a master degree in Environmental Modelling.

Joel Alexander Moses

Ambassador of the study program Nature Conservation

Since I was a kid, I've always been fascinated by animals and would always watch nature documentaries like National Geographic and Animal Planet. As I grew older, I realized the severity of our ecosystem and wildlife, and I decided that I would like to help make a change, and that's why I chose this Nature Conservation study program. I feel this is a path where I could realize my dream. I have studied a Bachelor's in Environmental Engineering here at CZU, and I'm 100% that this university is the right place for people like me who are passionate about the environment.
