The molecular genetics laboratory was commissioned in 2011. Since 2018, it has been managed by the Department of Ecology. It is used for practical teaching of professional subjects as well as solving scientific research projects dealing with DNA analysis. It provides facilities, equipment and technical support and consultations for employees and students of CZU.
The FŽP molecular genetics laboratory (LMG) is a semi self-service workplace. The staff will train the laboratory user, who continues to manage and carry out their project themselves within the framework of safety and other laboratory operation rules.
While the laboratory offers consumables and selected analyses for a fee, outlined in the price list, most kits and chemicals are financed by users from their projects.
Space for individual molecular genetic methods is available in two separate laboratories.
