This doctoral field examines and deals with modelling of processes in the environment. It is broadly focused on studying physical, physical-chemical and technical processes - not biological-ecological processes. An example is modelling in soil science, hydrology, thermo-mechanics, hydropedology, environmental geochemistry, hydrogeology, geology, surface and subsurface hydraulics, chemistry, atmosphere and climatology, including the modelling of the impact of climate changes on the hydrological regime.
Currently replaced by the Environmental Earth Sciences programme, specialization Environmental Modelling.
