Work abroad with the support of Erasmus exchange programme allows for the acquisition of new skills and experience for full-time and combined students of bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees in any year. Practical traineeships are possible in EU countries and Turkey, Norway, Macedonia, Serbia, Lichtenstein and Iceland, but not in Switzerland and from January 1st, 2021 in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. Students have to be duly enrolled for the duration of their traineeships, except for graduate traineeships.
Trainees must work abroad full-time (normal working hours in the country of the host organization) by a previously agreed work plan. The minimum length of the traineeship is 2 months (60 days), and a maximum of 5 months.
Graduation traineeships can be realized until 12 months after successful study completing. E.g., Student passed the Final State Exam on August 25, 2022. Therefore the student has to finish his/her traineeship abroad by August 24, 2023.
