Abstract:
The aim of the project is to optimize wetland functions in the agricultural landscape in order to minimize the nutrient input into surface waters. The intention is the create a catalogue of basic design parameters for natural-like arrangements leading to elimination of diffuse pollution from agricultural fields that would allow for introducing these principles into practise. The catalogue will be created based on the experiments carried out within the watershed of Mlýnský Brook near Martinice, Příbram District. The catalogue will have a general use applicable also in other parts of the Czech Republic and could be used by designers. The results will be achieved in 2017 and during the following years the results of the project will be forwarded to environmental authorities in order to apply the results in areas such as watersheds of Orlík and Švihov reservoirs.
