Abstract:
The project reflect the activities of the Prague City Hall, which financially support the creation of nectar-rich flower strips in arable fields in the cadastre of the capital city from 2020. To increase the efficiency of nectar-rich flower strips, it is necessary to test different types of plant mixtures under local conditions and investigate the effect of the timing of nectar-rich flower strips establishment.
The main goals of the project are:
a) Monitoring of biodiversity of arthropods and ecosystem services within selected arable fields
b) Monitoring the impact of the establishment of nectar-rich flower strips on arthropods and the provision of ecosystem services
c) Evaluation of the impact of the method of establishing nectar-rich flower strips on pollinators
d) Recommendation of rules for the establishment of nectar-rich flower strips in the cadastre of Prague
