Abstract:
The project is focused on the transfer of technologies and knowledge, which can influence the capital city of Prague. It is divided into two phases. The goal of the first phase is to create and verify nine different commercial purpose (proof of concept). Selected projects will move to the second phase, which focuses on their realization and commercialization.
FES takes part in commercial subproject No. 7. Its aim is to provide knowledge support for the implementation of Smart City management strategies through the combination of two modern environmental tools: Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and Environmental Technology Verification (ETC). The joint use of these tools will be the basis for creating expert services that make it possible to effectively model and evaluate individual life cycles (especially carbon footprint and water footprint) that will lead to the creation of a better set of parameters for sustainable water and waste management. At the same time, a comparison of the tested technologies through Best Available Techniques (BAT) concept will make it possible to introduce new, environmentally friendly, innovative technologies in the capital city of Prague.
