Abstract:
The main goal of the project is i) to evaluate and predict changes in landscape water regime with special focus on drought and water resources; ii) to determine areas with critical water balance (hydrological and water resource management); iii) and to identify the risks in areas with insecure water supply of surface- and ground-water resources. The analyses will be conducted at already threatened Dyje basin in the context of climate change and anticipated development of land use and water requirements. Vulnerability of water resources and potential risks for current and future users will be evaluated. Adaptation measures will be proposed and their efficiency and their mutual interactions will be analyzed with consideration of future conditions and explicit physical processes.
