Name of the program: TAČR GAMA 2 - proof-of-concept 2 at CULS Prague
Abstract:
The project solves the current socio-environmental problem connected with the overgrowth of the bark beetles in the spruce forests. From the market perspective, there are economic losses from the sale of timber and at the same time, more funds are drawn to the recovery of the infested areas. The proposed solution is based on precise individual detection and passportization at the level of individual trees in forest management and nature protection. The project focuses, among other things, on the transferability of propose methodology to other issues (eg. pine trees health) and on the application in practice.
