Abstract:
The aim of the project is to develop a comprehensive solutions for monitoring and risk assessment in the domain of transport infrastructure management and operation (TIMO). The proposed research and solutions will build upon remote sensing data and methods to address specific risks in the vicinity of transport routes. Remote sensing will be utilized in combination with an engineering-geological model for the prediction of slope instabilities, monitoring of unauthorized activities in protection zones and evaluation of the health status, height and perimeter of tree crowns. The outputs of the project will thus demonstrate the capability of wide range of satellite-born and UAV technologies for Earth Observation. All specific outputs will be integrated within a SW platform called RiskMonitor.
