Abstract:
The project is focused on perennial wildflower strips optimalization and increasing of biodiversity and selected ecosystem services with benefits for biodiversity and for farmers. The main goals are: a) comparison of various seed mixtures suitable for measures aiming to increase biodiversity (plants and arthropods across the Czech Republic) on arable land, b) monitoring the influence of the wildflower strips establishment setup and wildflower management regime on plant and arthropod assemblages, c) monitoring the influence of the wildflower strips establishment setup on selected ecosystem services important to farmers. The outputs of the project are also recommendation of rules for the wildflower strips establishment in the Czech Republic and active dissemination of results among experts and citizens.
