Abstract:
The main goal of the project is to prepare methodological material guiding municipalities and other users in efficient biodiversity support in urban environment. Secondary goals (serving to fulfill the main goal) will be: collection of scientific knowledge and examples of good practice, research on the restoration of biodiversity through the reintroduction of species, support of pollinators via creation of nectar-rich areas, monitoring of the effectiveness of conservation measures implemented in parks, development of a concept for rationalizing the care of urban parks, monitoring of pollinators in children's playgrounds, direct implementation of management actions in model grassland and overgrown areas, and development of novel measures for a unique brownfield site (Makču Pikču in Prague).
