A new scientific and educational collaboration with the School of Geography of Beijing Normal University (BNU) is on the way. BNU is one of the top academic institutions in China, with a strong tradition in hydrological research. Our team was invited to present its research findings in drought monitoring and assessment, and water cycle intensification. After the presentation, both groups exchanged constructive ideas and agreed on establishing a mutually beneficial collaboration in hydroclimatic research, supported by graduate student and academic staff exchanges.
