we would like to invite you to a public seminar by Prof. Jiri Reif from the Institute of Environmental Studies (Charles University), who will talk about "Farmland bird population declines: patterns, drivers and possible solutions from local to national scales".
The talk will be (in English) in lecture room Z1 at FŽP ČZU, on Thursday 10.10. from 10:30 to 11:30, possibly longer if there is a good discussion.
Jiri is a field ornithologist, macroecologist, and one of the world's leading experts on large-scale patterns and temporal trends of birds, particularly in relation to anthropogenic land use change, climate, and agricultural intensification. Since birds are a group with high-quality long-term data, they offer a rare glimpse of what has really been going on with nature over the last decades.
All students and employees are invited!
With best regards,
Petr Keil
