Macroecologist Petr Keil and climatologist Aleš Urban have received prestigious support for their work called Research Excellence in Environmental Sciences (REES), which contributes to building the best scientific teams at the FES. The call is intended for experienced researchers who will apply in international grant calls and publish their scientific results in recognized journals. Meeting the conditions results in an employment contract with the FES for up to three years with a maximum possible subsidy of nine million CZK.
Petr Keil (experience from UK, iDiv, Yale University, University of Leeds) complemented the group of Petra Šímová (KAGÚP) and his domain is methodical spatiotemporal mapping of biodiversity.
Aleš Urban (experience from the CAS, Humboldt University of Berlin, Arizona State University) joined the team of Martin Hanel (KVHEM) and will use his rich experience in the topic of the effects of climate change on human health.
