The project entitled "Objective Wolves Acceptance in human-altered cross boundary lanDscapes" (OWAD) has begun on October 23 at the premises of the FES with a joint meeting of all cooperating partners. Representatives of the Ministry of the Environment of the Czech Republic, the Nature Conservation Agency of the Czech Republic, the Museum of Görlitz and the Faculty of the Environmental Sciences of the Czech University of Life Sciences Prague discussed the basic procedures for launching the project and introduced project personnel.
The three-year EU-funded project (No 100322836) under the Cooperation Program of the Czech Republic and the Free State of Saxony aims in particular at cross-border alignment of procedures for monitoring of wolves and for preventing and resolving conflicts arising from its return to the Central European area.
