Since the beginning of the year, we are working on two large projects supported by the Czech Science Foundation (standard grant competition). Tomáš Kadlec and Michal Knapp investigate the importance of non-crop habitats within arable fields in the project entitled “Non-crop habitat islands within arable fields: local hotspots of biodiversity and ecosystem services?” (18-26542S). Filip Harabiš, in collaboration with colleagues from the University of Ostrava, investigates
the impact of intensive fishery management in Central European ponds on insect communities in the project entitled “Selective effect of fish farming
on freshwater communities” (18-24425S).
