During the 2021 field season, 4 monitoring visits were realized in the localities managed by us near the Prokop Valley. The aim was to evaluate the status of these localities by recording the presence of the target species and other diurnal butterflies. In total, we observed 44 species of diurnal butterflies in 1 691 specimens in these localities. We recorded all the target species of diurnal butterflies, but only the Polyommatus thersites and the Hipparchia semele were recorded in high numbers. On the other hand, only some individuals of Iphiclides podalirius, Plebejus argus and Zygaena carniolica were recorded. Hopefully, numbers and diversity of butterflies will improve with our management interventions in the coming years!
